Two wins and a loss

In recent weeks, the Autoworld Stars Football Club have been busy on the pitch against Bimbe Trading, Engen Crossroads and Team ZRA. Brian Mununka, team co-ordinator is happy to report that the team has won two of their three matches, only loosing to the seemingly invincible ZRA team.

Following the acquisition of brand new footballs for Autoworld Stars, a game was arranged between the Autoworld team and Bimbe F.C once more.
New football and the Autoworld Stars team

Once beaten, twice shy. So goes the old saying and it has come true yet again. The ‘Galacticos’ Autoworld Stars once again ran riot at the Olympic Youth Development Complex by beating the courageous Bimbe Trading 6-1 in a thrilling game that started at 18:30.

It was all systems go when Autoworld Stars went up against Engen Crossroads F.C. on Thursday evening. It was not long before the flood gates opened when Misheck ran free on the left flank to put Autoworld Stars 1-0 up. The game gained momentum and we scored two quick goals to put ourselves on a safe side with half time scores reading 3:0.

But it was in the tightly-contested second half that the game really got underway. Misheck managed a hat trick and Engen scored another goal to make the final score 4:2 in favour of Autoworld Stars F.C.

It was Team ZRA vs. Autoworld Stars F.C. at the Bank of Zambia grounds the next Saturday afternoon. “Tax in Soccer terms” was collected from Autoworld Stars F.C. as we were humbled 2-0. A goal in each half was enough to seal the victory for Team ZRA. Bubbling with confidence after Thursday’s win, Autoworld Stars failed to find their rhythm to play their usual attacking game. Looking forward to playing the return match…
